Unable to Find a Course, Program, Course Set, or Requirement Set When I Search for It 

Problem Overview

You’re searching for a course, program, course set, or requirement set, but you don’t see what you’re looking for in the results. 


Solution Overview

If you are searching for an effective dated object like a course, program, course set, or requirement set using the Search Bar and do NOT see it displayed as a result, this may be because your “Effective Start Term” and “Effective End Term” parameters at the top need to be adjusted. 

Detailed Explanation

  • Let’s assume CD100 is only effective starting Aug 1, 2022.

  • If no values are provided in the Effective Date parameters at the top, these fields will default to using the Current Active Term (found in Settings > Terms) as the effective start date.

  • If the effective term has start dates PRIOR to Aug 1, 2022, then CD100 will NOT be shown as a result when searching for it in the Courses Dashboard.

  • You should adjust the Effective Date parameters in the Courses/Programs Dashboard as desired to see CD100, or adjust the Current Active Term (found in Settings > Terms).
