Overview

  • Curriculum Management offers several out-of-the-box reports.

  • Report options include: Program Changes, Invalid Workflow Users, Course Not Taught, Courses Out of Sync with SIS CSV (Downloadable), and Programs Out of Sync with SIS CSV (Downloadable).

  • Access to Reports is tied to a role-based permission; if you cannot see the Reports tab on the left-hand side of your interface, that likely means your role doesn’t have permission to view it.

  • Navigate to Curriculum > Reports to get started.

Program Changes

  • The program changes report lists all programs and identifies how many of the courses associated with that program have been modified since a specified date.

  • The report is based on courses linked to programs via the simple requirements builder and does not include Degree Maps.

Invalid Workflow Users

  • The invalid workflow users report lists all users associated with a workflow where the user has either been deleted or has no roles in Coursedog.

  • This report does not include inactive users, per se. For inactive users to appear, you will need to remove any listed roles from their profile.

Course Not Taught

Overview

  • The “Course Not Taught” report shows a list of courses that have not been scheduled in a specified time period by a department.

  • The report allows users to specify department, start term, and end term.

  • All courses not scheduled in this time period are shown in the report, which can be exported to CSV.

  • This report pulls scheduling data about the last term the course was scheduled.

Role-Based Permissions

  • There is a role-based control specific to the “Course Not Taught” report.

  • Permissions include Deny, Allow, and Allow If.

  • The “Allow If” option gives admins the ability to restrict access depending on whether or not the user is assigned to the department.

Out of Sync with SIS CSV (Courses & Programs)

  • There are two “Out of Sync with SIS CSV” reports: one for courses and one for programs.

  • Both of these reports are downloadable.

  • Each report is only available if its corresponding integration – “Courses (Curriculum)” or “Programs” – is enabled/set to “Yes” (an Admin can check on this at Admin > Merge Settings). Learn more here.

  • The Out of Sync With SIS CSV Reports identify differences between the Coursedog course/program data and the SIS course/program data from the last nightly merge.

  • Updates sent to the SIS during the nightly merge will take 24 hours to reflect in this report. This report returns a maximum of 10,000 items.

  • The "Courses" report will not contain references to cross-listed courses since cross-listed courses is an attribute that does not directly exist in the SIS and is computed based on the relationships between courses.
