Overview
Streamline your Syllabus management through RBAC control at the group level and with archives.
You can restrict page edit and view access for historical or upcoming syllabus groups as desired.
This prevents inaccurate syllabus proposal submissions by limiting end user exposure to syllabi that are relevant to them.
New syllabi cannot be created for archived Syllabus Groups.
Syllabus Groups can be unarchived.
How to Archive Syllabus Groups
Users with the “Archive Syllabus Groups” permission can archive Syllabus Groups at Syllabus Management > Syllabus Groups > (Find Group) > Settings (Gear Icon).
Select “Archive” in the lower left hand of the “Update Group” modal.
Viewing Archived Groups
Users with the “View Archived Syllabus Groups” permission can view archived groups at Syllabus Management > Syllabus Groups > Archives.
Archived Syllabus Groups will not appear in the Syllabi Documents Repository.
How to Unarchive a Syllabus Group
Go to Syllabus Management > Syllabus Groups > Archives.
Find the Syllabus group you wish to unarchive.
Select settings (gear icon).
Select “Unarchive” in the lower left hand of the “Update Group” modal.
Syllabus Group Archive and Active Requests
When a group is archived, any existing proposals associated with that group will also be archived. This includes in-flight Proposals.
If a group is unarchived, associated proposals will remain archived.
Concealing Syllabus Groups via RBAC
If you don’t wish to archive a Syllabus Group but would like to hide particular groups from designated roles, you can do that using the “Allowed Roles” dropdown setting.
This setting is found in the “Update Group” modal at Syllabus Management > Syllabus Groups > (Find Group) > Settings (Gear Icon).
If you wish to fully prevent an older Syllabus Group from appearing regardless of a user’s role, you can do that by using the aforementioned “archive” feature.
Only users with the “Edit Syllabus Groups” permission can change the “Allowed Roles” setting to manage which roles can access which Syllabus Groups.
