Overview

The Contemporary Catalog is a comprehensive Catalog Management System with a robust content management editor and workflow system.

The catalog contains two components:

  1. The internal, administrator-facing editor tool used to build the catalog.

  2. The customized, public-facing catalog to share with the entire campus community.

This is a look at the administrative interface:

This is an example of the public-facing view:

Page Content

Every page on the public catalog contains the following 4 elements:

  1. Top Navigation

  2. Secondary Navigation (shown under Top Navigation)

  3. Page Content (shown in the middle)

  4. Footer (shown at the bottom)

Navigation

The contemporary catalog uses top navigation and secondary navigation that flows horizontally on the page. If the navigation item contains a carrot symbol, it indicates that there are a group of options available to the user. Clicking on the carrot allows the user to see all options available.

Clicking on a link in the navigation panel will automatically redirect you to the corresponding page. All the links, groups of links, and name of links that are contained within the navigation panel are fully editable in the Internal Catalog Editor tool.
