Course and Program Templates

For the most part, Course and Program templates function the same way in both Standard and Contemporary catalogs. However, there is a difference in the display of information for Contemporary Catalogs.

Programs

Programs will need an image to be selected by users. To place the image, you will need to go to the curriculum module and set up the image. The following fields can be placed into the Program template in order to be utilized.

Once placed into the template, simply fill in the information.

And the display will look something like this:

Catalog Quote

Another new option available is quoting. You can pull these in from curriculum management. The following fields can be placed into the Program template in order to be utilized.

Once the cards have been placed, the admin can simply fill in the fields. A sample could look like this.

Text is placed at the bottom of the page details.

Catalog Full Description

Using catalog full description will give the admin a full WYSIWYG editor when creating program pages. The above field can be placed into the Program template in order to be utilized.

Content will display under the catalog quote:

Catalog Short Description

Catalog short description is set up in curriculum management. The following field can be placed into the Program template in order to be utilized.

Add this option to the template and you will get a plain text box to add a short description about the program. That content renders itself next to the catalog image on the page.

Program Contacts

Program Contacts is set up in the curriculum module. The following fields can be placed into the Program template in order to be utilized.

They will be displayed in the catalog like this.

Courses

Courses also have a slight change in how information is visualized. The back end process remains the same. However, when a user clicks on a course, a new side pane will appear. In order to get to the page that reflects the template created, the user will need to click on ‘View Course’ at the bottom of the panel.

Files

  • If you add a “File” question-type to a template, that will allow files uploaded to a course or program in Curriculum to appear in your catalog.

  • However, if those fields are marked as “Private” in Curriculum, they will not appear in the Catalog.
