Overview

There are three things you need to do before using Academic Scheduling for the first time:

  1. Add your school’s logo.

  2. Perform a rollover (details below). 

  3. Familiarize yourself with integration best practices.

Begin Scheduling via Rollover

Step 1: 

  • Perform a standard rollover in your SIS.

  • Once your rollover is complete, you can enable the term in Coursedog by loading in data and updating term-specific permissions.


Step 2: 

  • Update your nightly merge settings to load in the new term data.

  • To do this, navigate to Admin Panel > Merge Settings.

  • For the Courses, Sections, and Relationships entities, add the desired term to the “only run integrations for selected terms” field.

  • Click “SAVE” in the top right corner of the screen. This will update the nightly merge configuration.

Additional Notes

  • Coursedog's built-in Rollover functionality is primarily only to be used by non-integrated schools. Learn more here.

  • When a new term is enabled, if the SIS contains data and Coursedog does not contain data, the nightly merge will automatically pull in data for that new term.
