Overview

The Coursedog platform allows for the scheduling of exams within the Event Scheduling system. Scheduling an exam in Events entails three overarching steps:

  1. Creating an "Exam Event Type".
  2. Creating a form for the event.
  3. Adding exams.

Creating an Exam Event Type

PATH: Events > Settings > Event Types

Step One: Select "+ Add Event Type"

Step Two: Input a name, e.g. "Exam Event", and description.

Step Three: Select a color (this indicates what color your event will appear as on your calendar).

Step Four: Click "Add New Event Type".

Creating a Form for the Event

Once you create the event type, you can create a form for that event. The form can be used to assign custom fields just to exam events:

Adding Exams

  • Inside the Event dashboard, you can add exam events directly, or require your users to go through a workflow.
  • On the "Events Page", there is a "+ New Event" button at the top.

Viewing Exams

Once exam events are added, they will show up in the event list and the calendar:

Additional Note

  • When scheduling any events, the Coursedog system will automatically check for any double bookings with scheduled academic classes.
  • In Academic Scheduling, you can view any conflicts that academic meetings may have with events by turning on the following rule:
