In Academic Scheduling, if permission settings allow, you can take a course from the course inventory, and add it into the existing schedule. If the course you wish to add isn’t already in the inventory, next steps will depend on whether or not you are integrated and/or have Curriculum Management.
If an integrated school needs to add a course to their inventory, regardless of whether or not they have Curriculum Management, they should do so directly in their SIS.
Non-Integrated Schools without Curriculum Management
To add a course to your inventory, please open a support ticket.
Non-Integrated Schools with Curriculum Management
Open Curriculum Management.
If you’re currently in Academic Scheduling, you can quickly switch to Curriculum by clicking on the bento box and selecting “Curriculum”.
Step 2: Navigate to the Courses page to see all of the courses that are currently in your inventory.
Step 3: Choose "Propose New Course".
Step 4: Choose the appropriate form from the drop down and click SUBMIT. The name of the form will vary from institution to institution.
Complete the Entire New Course Form.
If the REQUIRED fields (indicated by a red asterisk) AND the Credit Hours are not completed, the course will not show up when you go to add the new section.
Any field you wish to pre-populate in the section editor in Coursedog MUST be completed.
Click "Submit Proposal".
The proposal will follow whatever workflow has been set up.
The course should now appear in Academic Scheduling. Learn how to add it here.
