Solution One
This feature is only available on three fields: Section Type, Topic, and Grade Mode.
Ensure the field you are looking at is one of those three.
If it isn’t, then “Use Course Options” isn’t available for the field in question.
If it is, continue to “Solution Two”.
Solution Two
Try removing it from the template, then adding it back in from the list of pre-built fields.
This generally takes care of missing toggles and features for fields.
I Don't See Any Options in the Drop Down
When this happens the root cause is that the data is not available at the course level.
You should review the associated course to make sure the data is present.
If you do not have access to Curriculum Management, reach out to your Coursedog support team for assistance.
Options in the Section Editing Modal Don’t Reflect Those in the Course
Make sure that "Use Course Options" is enabled for the field in the Section Template.
If you see a number of options present for the field, then it is going to use those rather than rely on the course options.
I Need to Set “Use Course Options” for a Different Field
If you wish to set “Use Course Options” for a field other than Section Type, Topic, and Grade Mode, submit a feature request via our “Submit a Ticket” option.
Be sure to include details of your request, including the field name, purpose and rationale, and how it would improve your experience in Coursedog if this was available. We’ll look into it.
